Forest Gate Bolsters Technical Team

June 14, 2006 - Montreal, QC - Forest Gate Resources reports that it has added to its technical team with the hiring of professional geologists, Andre Laferriere and Yves Caron.

André Laferriere received his Master of Science degree in the field of geology and remote sensing from the Université de Montréal in 1998. He was hired in April of 2006 to manage data compilation for the Portage property and to help develop new exploration projects. Prior to joining Forest Gate, Andre worked as a consulting geologist and with Falconbridge for eight years in their exploration department.

"André is a great addition to our team," said Steve Roebuck, Forest Gate's Vice-President of Exploration. "His considerable skills, in the fields of geology, remote sensing, data compilation and database construction, will add value to our business."

Yves Caron has also joined Forest Gate's team as a consulting geologist and will assist with this summer's prospecting program on the Portage property and with other projects. He just completed his Master of Science degree from the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique, Quebec, in the field of geochemistry. Prior to joining Forest Gate, Yves worked several years with Inco's exploration team and with SOQUEM for over ten years.

"Yves Master's dissertation is entitled Geochemistry of the Secondary Environments of the Renard Kimberlites." said Roebuck. "The Renard kimberlite pipes, in addition to the Lynx and Hibou dykes, form the core of the Ashton Mining/ SOQUEM Foxtrot property. Having found someone with so much hands-on exploration experience with kimberlite pipes and dykes on a property next door to Portage is highly advantageous."

Forest Gate, along with joint venture partner Majescor Resources, are planning a prospecting program this summer on the Portage diamond property located in central Northern Quebec. The program will focus on two or three key areas that are high quality exploration targets including the area around the Remick kimberlite dyke.

In other news, Forest Gate is making final preparations for its upcoming drill program on its 100 percent owned South Side property located near the town of Melfort, Saskatchewan. Forest Gate is planning to drill up to 10 electromagnetic anomalies in search of a southeastern extension of the massive Fort a la Corne kimberlite field.
