Forest Gate Reports Drilling Results from Melfort, Saskatchewan

Montreal, Qc. July 27, 2006 – Forest Gate Resources Inc. reports that its recent exploration drilling on its South Side property has not intersected any kimberlite.

Six holes were drilled to test anomalies south of the Saskatchewan River that lie on-trend with the Fort a la Corne kimberlite field. The vertical PQ-sized holes ranged from 281 metres to 308 metres in depth. The anomalies, chosen by Condor Consulting, were all electromagnetic anomalies that were identified by the 3000-line kilometre airborne survey conducted by Fugro Aviation Services in April, 2005.

“We had originally planned to drill 10 holes but we decided to re-evaluate the program after the first six holes failed to intersect kimberlite” said Steve Roebuck, Vice President of Exploration for Forest Gate. “We plan to reassess the original geophysical data now that we have drill core and down-hole electric logs. The core is being geologically logged and when we have all the information we hope to have a better idea of what caused the EM anomalies and see if more drilling is warranted in our search for kimberlite in this area.”

The down-hole electric log is used to measure the spontaneous potential and resistivity of the rock horizons intersected. As the tool is winched up from the bottom of the hole, data representing the changes of rock properties with depth are measured and recorded. If kimberlite is present, its electrical properties will make it stand out as compared to the surrounding shale and sandstone. Future drill exploration on the South Side property may involve the use of a non coring drill coupled with an electric down-hole logger.
